Shimizu Kazutaka

Flutist Kazutaka Shimizu has been Assistant Professor of Music at Tokyo Gakugei University in Japan as well as an adjudicator of TBS Children's Music Competition Minister of Education Award.

Mr. Shimizu received Bachelor of Music from Tokyo University of the Arts and premier prix from Conservatoire de Muqique de Genéve in 1996, studied with Maxence Larrieu.

He also studied with Alain Marion, Jean-pierre Rampal, Shigenori Kudo, Michel Debost, James Galway Bruno Grossi, Benoit Fromanger, and Jean-Louis Beaumadier. He was one of finalist of the first Haydn Mozart Competition, Japan Woodwind competition, and four other competitions in Italy.

After he return to Japan, He was invited to teach and perform at Consertatory of Aosta (Italy), Alba International Music Festival (Italy), Falaut Flute Festival(Italy), St. Mary’s College of Maryland (US), Ball State University(US), Honolulu Broadcast, and Hong kong Academy.
