Lars Asbjørnsen

Lars Asbjørnsen was born in Trondheim, Norway. He studied the flute in Oslo, Essen and Paris and served as principal flutist in Ulm Philharmonic Orchestra (Germany) and “Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest” in Amsterdam. After leaving the orchestra, he has been an active soloist and chamber musician, with concerts all over Europe, Japan and the United States of America. He is the leader of the chamber music group “Oslo Ensemble” and a member of the woodwind group “Ensemble Zephyros”.

Lars Asbjørnsen teaches the flute at the Wiesbaden Music Academy and is guest professor at Agder University in Norway. In addition to that, he has taught masterclasses at universities and festivals in Germany, Italy, France, Poland, Norway, Japan, China and the USA.
